Pros:
-the mist at the end adds a nice twist to an otherwise cliched concept
-the striking snow on the branches looks really nice
-the viewer's attention is naturally draw upwards to the branches
-the picture is stable, clear and flat
-I like how some of the ice is blue-white and the rest is brilliant white
Cons:
-I've seen this kind concept/idea done before a lot, but he mist and the varied lighting add a unique spin. You're also very good with properly handling a camera (as in making the picture clear and not over-editing)
Good job! The tree shadows also add a somewhat ethereal feel
For originality, the picture has features unique to itself, but doesn't have a hugely unique persona. Still very original, despite the fact. One unique feature I noticed was the fact that the tree branches above seem to weave and create a ceiling of light and dark. Stunning!
For technique, the artist shows mastery in the photography medium and makes an amazingly executed photograph of the chosen subject.
For impact, the photograph draws the viewer forward to examine the work, but does not tightly grasp the viewer with strong emotion and/or thought. Still, it creates a wondering on what is beyond the curtain of white and what is hidden within the trees.
