An intriguing and truly beautiful photograph
the peacock has an almost human expression which is a complete contrast to its back feathers which are like a representation of the firmament like an assortment of stars suspended in a night sky.
Originality/4 stars
This shot appears to be very simple yet that is what gives its power allowing the viewer to first focus on the darkness of the peacocks' pupil then gradually expand outward to appreciate the whole photograph
Technique/ 3 stars
The lighting is neither too harsh or too dim which could be hard for others since white reflects and could lead to a terrible glare.
I do notice that there is more light on the right of the photo than there is on the left making it a bit dull in comparison to its opposite.
Impact /3
Although I think this photo is fine on its own I think it would have had a bigger impact if the background was made to be a little darker, then the contrast of white with black would produce a even more stunning effect
very nice angle and very brave on cropping the picture, a lot of people tempted to just give a full body shot on the peacock, most of it also took the environment with it, this is really emphasize the beauty of the peacock alone.
i also love the color and lighting of the picture, i still can see and read the shape of the head, it still give some dimension in the picture.
my overall score was all good, maybe above amazing, i'm always happy to encourage you as a fellow deviantart member and a photographer
